outside wall insulation

Friend is doing a shower alcove, one wall is an outside wall, brick backed by block, old tile had furring strips to the blocks, will use new furring strips, cbu with membrane, wants to insulate the outside wall, I suggested an un-faced thin fiberglass to avoid trapping moisture. Any other suggestions would be appreciated, - Don

Rigid foam will work better if the spacing is a furring strip
