I'm happy for you, Laura and Stan. He's joined the ranks of other elites. For me it brings back strong feelings of guilt. I made it to First Class without ever earning a merit badge. Not one. What a slouch I was.

P.S. Much later in life I became a scoutmaster and had two eagles in my troop. I'm proud of them, too.

Well, I started this thread back in 03 with a picture of my oldest grand child, Sarah. Tonight she's going to the prom with her boyfriend. I'm a proud grandpa. The pic turned sideways but you get the idea.

Thanks, Eric. CX, you're right. Time flies watching these grandkids grow up. I'm fortunate to have all my kids living close by and they all get along well. I'm able to see my grandkids at least once a week. 3 of them I see nearly every day since my wife picks them up from school.

You started way earlier than I did, Davy. I'm 78, and my oldest grandson did the prom just a couple years ago. The next oldest is 8, and the rest of them are still rug rats. You must be around 75?

Thanks, Dave. John, we married when I was 18, she was 16. We did wait 3 years before having any kiddos.

Congratulations Davy. Man, they're grown before you know it.

My oldest is starting kindergarten in August. The youngest is practicing to constantly talk for the rest of her life.

"Y'all smile real big, now!"
