Nah Rob, it already comes in an aerosal can, just needs a little tweaking. Bud's on it, we will probably franchise that too.

I'm familiar with that foam in a can stuff. The stuff that breaks windows when you use too much of it, right?

The main problem with that is that it doesn't "self level".

True story:

Many years ago, I installed new windows in a very old house. The customer got some of that damn foam in a can and was going to chink all the cracks and gaps before I trimmed the windows on the inside.

I said "read the directions, cut in half what they tell you to spray. Then cut that in half again and put in less than that" Then you wont warp the jambs or break the glass.

I got a call a few days later--broken glass in mucho windows, warped jambs, a real disaster.

I said "what about what I said to really go lean on what you spray in the gaps?"

"Oh, well it didn;t seem like much coming out so I kept putting more in".

Now they have "minamal expansion foam".

Don't feel bad Rob Years ago I did the same thing (but not nearly as bad) in MY own home. Now everytime I open some of my windows I could kick myself. Use wd-40 helps somewhat.

Glad I did,nt have to learn the lesson on someone elses house. putty knife and fiberglass for me.

oh I take that back the stuff is great for glass block windows.

Shoot that stuff in and then the next day cut off the extra and use gray cement chauking for the joint, works like a charm and cuts the time in half or not more.

I didn't feel bad at all when that guy broke all his own windows.

Now, if I had done it...

JC,

Your literature must have been picked up by the same mailman that picked up the pictures of me and LL, I sent to John.

I'll send more, whats the address again?

Foam board, is new to me as well. We are marketing it and I'm still learning.

I know they off varying thickness's and that it can make a water proof installation, won't break down etc. But time will tell.

We are just about out of the deconstrction phase at the "Double LL" Ranch. Dry wall will start going up today and hopefully the painting will start this week end.

I'll keep you all abreast of things as we go.

Take good care,

Art

Wait a minute. What's this wrong thread thing. If I click on a wrong thread I just click off. Dave has to post something just to make me check out what he might have said, which turns out to be "wrong thread."

Well now we're even.

How did Dave get himself declared "Da Man?"

If we can change our titles, can you mark me as "Jana's Daddy"? That's what I'm called all the time.

JC, Dave and all,

I said, never coupled.

Uncoupling to me is detaching.

When dry set mortar is used, it doesn't adhere to the wood.

Movement doesn't affect the tile job, like a mud bed with a cleavage membrane.

Check any of the TCA manuals since 1995, for cement board over wood.

Sorry, Art. I jumped to conclusions. I then went to the other boards and found that you were a little more like yourself. Just ignore the foregoing, will ya?
