Slabs are often set in silicone, so will be tough to move once it has set.

Around these parts, installers set slabs with silicone, but rarely *in* silicone. They like the maneuverability of setting the slabs dry and manipulating them until the seams are epoxied and all the parts are in their final place before running a single bead along the front where it meets the top of the cabinet. That bead is easy to slice with a cheap utility knife that has the long blades that snap off every 1/2”. Just extend it out a couple of inches and run it flat to the underside of the countertop.

In the event that that silicone was applied on top of the cabinet rail, that long utility knife can reach in and slice that, provided you slightly lift one end with a putty knife to wedge it open 1/16”.

Some guys will fill voids underneath with akemi to keep things from drooping. If its just caulked in you can cut with a razor knife and then use cedar shims and wedge around the piece a little at a time. Ive used screws underneath to remove bartops liquid nailed to plywood. You have to know when to stop, when to use brute force.

I do think you are better off getting someone to do this. It seems like a simple thing but experience does matter for something like this.
