yeah It was on the third floor of the house, I actually didn't want to do the install, looked at it 2 months ago, and priced accordingly, but they called me up. Can't complain.

I just grabbed one of the big clinkers from HD. Works pretty good I think all cutters have a knack for using them. I'm still learning this one's. Not sure how many use them to cut to base but with base off it'll save a ton of time.

Chad~Should work well for you with a little practice. You'll notice that, in the video, I "burn" the first inch or so before the "push" score. Hold the breaker up while doing this. Biggest mistake is using too much pressure for the score line. Just steady with moderate pressure. You'll get the right "sound" pretty quickly. I like their tungstan-carbide wheel. Real smooth and uses ball bearings. HD doesn't sell 'em but Dal does. Had my cutter for about three years and am STILL on the original wheel! Replacement is about $30.00 (!) I tried my Rubi on these tiles and couldn't get a straight cut to save my life.
I also made some point-to-point diagonal cuts on this tile with the Ishii and 90% of them were on the money, but don't have any full one's to illustrate...sorry, Bill.

That layout looks excellent Tim and that little note on the wall looks like a grocery list to pick up on the way home.

thanks guys,
That paper on the wall was the measurements for the register to cut the tile after I set it - HO saw it and said no way. didn't want the dust in the house - they have small kids
those little tile pieces are a pita
and it's worth mentioning again that hardi sucks hynd teet ! (for floor apps. anyway)
I have been using Sketchup for my layouts - it really does make it easier plus I have something to show the client and sign off on - they don't like it after I install they pay me again to do it. no gray area in my contract

Tim, if you back up the grinder with a good strong shopvac, you won't GET any dust in the house. I can't tell you how many times I've cut tile in place with no problem.

Most of us know you CAN contain dust, but HO's don't know this. That's why it's often better when they don't see the sausage being made... better for us anyways.

Sounds good to me Laz, I'll keep practicing on it and I'll get it right. I think the one I bought said it came with the Tungsten Wheel I'll have to look.

Chad~Yep, that model does come with it. The right pressure gives the sound that you hear on the video. I'm guessing it's about 5-8 lbs.
