glass tile in exterior wall

Is it possible to use glass tile in exterior wall to let in more light. For example under a window. If yes what are requirements and pros and cons?

If you are talking about the glass blocks, definitely .. These are used as windows all the time.

Thanks Jason, I'm meaning glasstyle tile and I've been advised that it is not used in that way.

I'm not sure how you could use the glass tiles to brighten up the room. These tiles should be attached to a substrate ( unlike the blocks) which would defeat your purpose.
