I always fill the bevel in the cement board sheets with meshtape and thinset before I roll anything on the walls. But what do I know..

Do you leave a gap between your backer board sheets or make it tight? It should have a gap between all the sheets. The thinset fills the joints and makes the installation stronger.

I don't like filling gaps with liquid waterproofing. I like something solid behind it. And all liquid waterproofers usually require minimum two coats.

But like Rick, what do I know. .

I don't think that one should go into your scrap book.

Nothing against the workmanship, just the odd collection of materials...

bbcamp ~ I'm most definitely not putting that in my photo album and it looks even worse in person, there is 5 different materials in the shower alone and the outside floor looks like it belongs in a commercial bathroom...

My Dream ~ the foot-rest is right at 8" and 16" off the floor as the home owner requested, I tried to talk her into a full size seat because the shower itself is 4' x 7' but that's what she wanted....As far as my previous picture I would need a post # cause the pictures before those where a different house.

You answered my question, thanks Interior Tile Solutions. I want to add one to Cathy's shower and will read up on the installation procedure when the time comes.

Summer home i did last summer

Here are some pictures of some tile work i did last summer.

This house had 7 bathrooms and a powder room and 7 of the bathrooms were done with kerdi and tile but they chose vinyl for the bathroom floors.
