It's funny that in tile terms, hand made doesn't mean uniform. I can understand the night mares.
With me I have to take a little extra time just to try to keep the corners kinda, sorta lined up and the joints uniform.
Again, a good looking job especially the mud.

Brian, pic #3 you can see three lines, the middle one is my center line then the 5" tile is centered on the 8" tile, but because of the odd size in tiles the joints land where they land.
I didn't design it and I definitely would not have used the 5 and 8 and expect it to work like a 3 and a 6 or 2 and 4 and so on.
That probably made no sense either LOL

I guess the 5" one throw any sort of pattern out the window.

I think I would of installed that tile like random length hardwood.. Make some of those tiles a bit shorter so the grout lines didnt line up so close?

it needs longer walls to expres itself properly. Perhaps not the best place for the application. Just the opinion of one talentless hack.

Gueuze tiles were 11cm x22cm, so 4 1/4 x8 1/2 " made by TGT lugs worked well in that they were in right location and little shiming was needed. The 3 x6" for the ensuite is a different story.still can't upload pics of marble floor, or figure out show to rotate previous pic

Needs to be 4" and 8" to look really good. 5" and 8" isn't really gonna tie together. But we don't pick the tiles do we. We just install what they ask us all to install.
