HD metal edge cap for listelle backsplash?

To complement a granite tile (Impala Black) kitchen countertop installation (not yet done), I got "Park City Listelle" (combination of granite, slate, travertine) for the backsplash.

The plan is to just use the listelle, but it's "open" on the edges, so HD suggested these metal strips to "cap" the top edge. They only come in silver and gold, so I was going to paint it black.

Is this reasonable?

Hi Twiddly,

The edge pieces from Home Depot are made by Schluter Systems, and they come in many colors and finihses. HD can special order anything from Schluter that you want.

Check our "products" on the Schluter site: http://www.schluter.com
