3cm Granite Slab Edge Profile Transition

On my tub deck I need to transition from a pencil/flush edge profile into an ogee. The transition will take place on a corner that has a 45 degree angle and it will be a solid piece of granite, no splice. Is this possible to do and still look okay? I'm having a hard time imagining what it will look like. Has anybody ever seen/done this?

Thanks
Frank

Got a picher?

A photo would help.

Thought I'd bump you up, I'd like to see it & learn what the pros say, too.

Frank, are you doing the profiling yourself or a fab shop? Assuming a fab shop and assuming an outside 45 deg. corner, I don't see any particular problem doing this.

I bet it is an inside corner. Still a fab shop can do it, but will charge extra for the hand work involved.

It's an outside 45 degree angle and a fab shop will do the work.

My tub deck sticks into the shower and will be used as a bench in the shower. I'm installing a Basco frameless 1/2" glass shower enclosure so the tub deck needs to be flush at the doorway for the shower but then go back into the ogee edge just past the glass door.

I don't know if it would look better doing the transition or if I should notch the ogee edge at the shower door.

Frank,

The stone guys can do anything. It'll be hand work, though.

Doubt if anyone will notice it but you. Personally, I'd keep it simple and go with the straight transition at the 45 deg. outside turn (your option #1).
