Tile floor for bedroom?

Hi all,

I have a bedroom downstairs below grade on concrete. maybe you can call it basement. It has a little moisture issue. I am thinking of either laminate or tile floor. However, laminate floor may not last long give the moisture, so my only choice is tile or vinyl. I like tile better. However, is it weird to have a bedroom installed with tile floor? I am renting the house out and may sell it in the future. I don't want it to be felt weird. Any opinion or suggestion are welcome.

Thank you,

Bill

laminate, carpet or vinyl all wont hold up well to moisture.
tile is your best option.

if the floor is really wet then you have bigger problems then a flooring selection.

here in Tampa we apply Laticrete 312 Vapor Reduction Membrane on damp slabs to stop problems like that.

you need to do a moisture test of your slab before you decide.
