But they put a liner over the corner seat. Surley that will be waterproof.

if you run lath across the front of the seat and fastened it the the other walls and floated the front then it would be proofed and then hit the whole thing with hydroban.

Rick, that is why these pics are in the hall of shame, because they didnt know how to waterproof the shower.

From the pictures, I'm at a loss for why it failed....



I had a homeowner a while back that prepped his own shower and then wanted me to tile it. I told him nailing the cbu to the curb was a HUGE no no, but he did it anyway. So, to make the best of it, I told him to put two coats of redgard on and hope for the best. For his sake I hope that saves the day.

Needless to say, my bid docs clearly stated that there was no warranty on the shower...
