Kitchen Backsplash- Layout Question

Hello everyone,
This is my first post, but I have been reading the forums and picking up tips for several months now. Here's my dilemma.

I am tiling my kitchen backsplash in Lowe's Rialto Terra 6" square tile. I am using an offset brick pattern (1/8" grout patterns) that will go from the granite slab counter up to the bottom of the upper cabinets (approx. 18"). My kitchen is a galley style and on one side the backsplash starts next to the fridge and terminates into a pantry cabinet wall. That side does not trouble me layout-wise because I can play with the tile termination behind the fridge.

The other side starts on an open wall, runs past a kitchen sink and window and terminates into a wall. The backsplash then turns a corner and ends at the edge of the countertop just before it hits the entry door molding.

My question concerns the window. The inside window frame is painted drywall and the the window sill was white cultured marble. I recently removed the sill and I'm installing a stained maple window sill (stool) with Roman Ogee edge to match the cabinets. I do not want to tile inside the window frame, but I cannot figure out how to tile around the window edge. And honestly, I do not know how to approach the layout on that side of the kitchen. I'm worried about terminating the tile in the open part of the room if I try to make the tile centered about the window. I'm not sure what layout approach is optimal or what the pros would use.

Bullnose tile is available, but I worry about what will happen to the brick pattern if I try to utilize the bullnose around the window. Does anyone have experience with this situation? The window is 41 3/4" from the open room edge (end of countertop), so you can calculate that my second row and third row of tiles will have some issues. Tile= 5 3/4" + Grout spacing

Are you saying the window is not cased? Is it an option to case it with molding, and then to butt the tile up to the molding edge?

I also don't understand the concern about terminating the field. The brick pattern will have 1/2 of it's bricks cut and bullnosed to achieve a straight vertical line. Am I cooky?

Yes, that is correct. The window has no casing and the upper cabinets run within 3/4" from the sides of the window frame...makes doing molding difficult. Also, the wife and I talked about replacing the windows in the future so we didn't want to invest time/money in anything that would be ruined during window replacement.

The concern about terminating the field tile comes from the worry that I will not have a 1/2 tile and full tile on alternating rows when I get to the end of the countertop. Obviously, that depends on what I do around the window.
