Ouch - no, the Hawks won't make it to the tourney this year unless they win the Big 10 Tournament this weekend. We've been down to 7 scholarship players since the Big 10 started. One center broke his foot, the other quit the team for personal reasons. Two players had academic problems. Alford has done rather well with this depleted team, I think. I live 18 miles south of Mt. Pleasant. 1978 was last year I was in Iowa City. Sue
