Yes Davy, that's what I'm referring to, the very outside edge of the tile wall, outside the trim piece where you see the Redguard.

I'll use thinset to set in place, using tape to hold up if needed. I'll mark off outside line with tape so I can easily clean up extra thinset.

Sounds like you are recommending grout, but that silicone would also work?

Yep, that's a joint I would usually grout. If you place blue tape in a straight line about 1/16 from the edge of the trim, it'll pull away clean.

Thanks for all the help!

Just a quick follow up...
I wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice. The job turned out great (using my inexperienced standards, LOL). I couldn't have done it without all your assistance, so thank you all!
This has given me the confidence to tackle my master bath next.
