Losing My Baby.....
No, not what you think. I'm a cat lover and have a gorgeous Maine Coon that has been my companion for about 12 years. She used to hop up a ladder on top of the house and guard the property from raccoons, squirrels, etc.
A few days ago, her hind legs wouldn't work and she could barely get around.
I put her in my bed and she would lay a paw on my arm and cry....
Took her to the Vet and apparently she had thrown a clot that ended up in one of her legs...making it impossible for her to walk or hop up on a chair.
The term is "Saddle Thrombosis" (Google it) and she may not make it. I told the vet to try Plavix and Heparin to try to dissolve the clot. It's experimental and may or not work. If it does...great. If she passes because of it...OK. Don't want to put her down, but I refuse to let her suffer.

Sorry Laz. Wishing you and your buddy the best.
I’m a cat guy too. Had a beautiful Norwegian forest-type cat that we adopted from a shelter but sadly lost after a couple years due to lymphoma. Then adopted a Maine coon that turns out is also dealing with maybe lymphoma, maybe IBD. Takes a toll, but I can’t say no.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. Maya got to the point her rear legs were useless and became incontinent. Took our last trip to the Vet this morning...
Sleep well, baby.

Sad thing for sure. I had to have my cat put down a few years back. Still miss her every day. She was a true companion. So sorry for your loss.

Sorry about your loss. I am/was a dog lover when i was younger and now almost equally a cat lover. They are amazing animals and companions. Here are some pictures to maybe cheer you up.
Here's Tucker, our special needs cat (white paws) and Max (grey cat).
Tucker loves dirty shorts and max loves human food. Tucker is always looking for the right sized box, hmm, aren't we all.

Sorry to hear about this Laz, losing a pet is tough for sure. I'd love to see a picture of her if you wouldn't mind sharing.
