Tub Missing Tile Flange

Hi the tub doesn't have a tile flange and I'm trying to figure out what to do for hanging the backer board and tile. Any advice?

Thank You

Welcome to the forum, Brad.

Do you know the brand name of the tub? You might be able to buy a flange kit from the manufacturer.

If you don't know, there are a number of kits out there that will adapt to what you have. Google "tub flange kit".

What Kevin said. I know they are also searchable by "tile bead kit".

Thanks guys I just keep reading terrible reviews of the tile flange kits online. Is there any other options? I'm guessing that's my best choice other than replacing the tub.
Thanks

I think that's your only option.

Use a waterproof panel such as kerdi board and seal it to the tub ?

Hi Brad,

I know it's probably not what you wanna hear because it's extra work... but I'd be inclined to remind you of the age and condition of the tub, and suggest that a new tub may be a good value.

What Goldstein said.

Sometimes a good throwin' away is what an old plumbing fixture really needs.

My opinion; worth price charged.
