1st of all I would like to give one big shout out to all my braddahs and sistahs out dea for all da contrabutions on dis tread.Mahalos.By posting pictahs,is one way for show everybody that you really do tile and not just one compputah nerd........

Translation:

(JB would have a really hard time with that one)

Basically what Im trying to say is,big up to those of you that are active on this forum(Professionals-as in "Tilesetters")and that post pics.By posting pics you are subject to not only scrutiny and criticism, but more importantly, prove your legitimacy as an actual "professional tilesetter".

Some of you have proven to be very legitimate "Professional" installer,by not just the comments you post, but by the pictures as well.

This particular thread has really been a landmark in proving who is really legitimate in the actual "Professional" tile game and who is here to just punch a keyboard.

I would like to apologize for not being as active on this thread as I have been simply because of many obligations(coaching youth football, basketball and adult mma)

My son. He's being taught the trowel and error method(NTCA/Gerald Sloan,Michael Whistler------Bart Bettiga etc).Cow pookie right?Hahahahaaha. Not to us.#####Furthermore I wont allow him to get a spec of mortar on him.The mortar goes on the substrate not on the body.Wait, thats how we do it.Clean.......You know...da kine,bra-lah dat!

Isaac-lookin good.Tha bugga is cherry. Is that Hydroban on the floor? What are you currently using for your divots?

Mark, thanks.Im so jealous of your installs. Those kind of jobs are just great oppurtunities. It seems like the tile 'fashion' in my hood is so cookie cutter.Id like to try some of the stuff you guys are doing up there.Lots of good design taste. But anyways, thanks for raising the bar around here!

Here are some more pics from the last month

Didnt like this shower very much. That floor and drain...what a pain!

Look at these damn seats.See that buildup on the edges?Crazy.

After playing with that Ditraset and seeing how fragile it can be after curing,I was worried.

I didnt wanna use mod on this orange stuff/Kerdi board (its like the ultimate sin, right?).After scratching my head it came to me-Ill just Hydroban them !!

There it is!Now I can have a topical waterproofing and be able to have that superior modified bond!

You grind in board shorts and flip flops but wear a respirator with HydroBan

Nice looking work as always, L.T.

Really like how you are passing along the trade. Very, very cool.

And Shaun, I really like that subway with the accent control wall. Mud walls with Subway tile always bring be back to Pacific Beach.

Thanks, brother.Kind words go a long way.

Wrapping these walls 10' up was such a nightmare, along with the windows.Far from perfect,I aint even gonna act like it is.I had difficulty getting my lines within "tolerences" above the window wraps. All I can say is thank god for XLT.Its unbelievable how much a mortar like that can make a difference on the jobsite.

And no,I dont work for Laticrete.I just have used a wide range of products, and these are the cream of the crop.Nobody pays me for this. This is just pure, unbiased, and honest feedback from your basic installer.
