I like how you also took the time Roger,to round out the radius,on the sanwiched BN cuts, where they meet the sides And,as someone else mentioned about the sandwiched BN.....that's a first for I,seeing two pieces used in that fashion. I have sandwiched stone together for shelves in the past, but never tile/BN.
I'll have to remember that detail, and add it to my bag of tricks
This forum does offer neat stuff to look at,that's for sure!

I really hate to say this again but you should really take your time and scribe in those cuts a little nicer.

Heres my work in Progress....
I went to grout a small splash this morning and I opened the bag and it was all rocky! So I got to go home since no one has Tec on a sunday! But I wanted to describe my work in progress, no pictures needed.

You mean you don't pre-mix your grout before you leave the house. LoL
Enjoy the rest of the day man. Monday will be here soon enough.

Chad,
Now I gotta run back to the Tec supply house the contractor gut the stuff so theres money im wasting. Thats one reason why I love laticrete its like insurance that the product will never be lumpy in those weatherproof bags. I can't tell you how many times Tec stuff shows up lumpy.

I can't get Laticrete on Sunday either though.
That Permacolor is growing on me though. But I have had the grout on the side of the bucket dry up and end up back in the mix. Learning curve I guess.
Why didn't you just sift out the lumps with a piece of lath or something.? Save yourself the trip.

cause the bag was an entire lump practically and i pretty much needed the whole thing. Its not worth the risk for me either to ruin a nice install with a bad grout job.

That makes sense to me. Sounds like the supply house owes you a bag of grout for the trouble.

I would have went to HD or Lowes and got another matching brand and been done with it.
