Thanks, Jon, for posting those. It looks great!

EcoPrim Grip some great stuff, IMO.

I miss this thread, sometimes it gets buried down quite a ways. For a while there seemed like you missed a day and was hard to catch up here.

Even if it was Brian loading us up with all those plank jobs

I miss seeing all the great work, and even seeing others do the mundane encourages each other to keep the standard high.

What I really miss is Tarkus.

I've been following, and thinking about, that other thread. One thing that really stopped up this thread was that photo lifting that happened a while back. Maybe just coincidence, maybe we all pulled back. Don't know, guess those things just happen?

Here's a little update from me.

Demoed out a faux marble shower, enlarged a bit and tiled this shower in. I built the little towel storage unit and slipped it in between the studs and the side wall of the shower to gain space.

Just a face lift in the rest of the bathroom. I would have liked to replace the soaker tub and vanity top, but.....
I painted in the rope design and wall stripes on both tub end walls.

Another job.

I did the cabinet install and tile work here.

No, I did not build the cabinets. I have a custom cabinet builder that I contract out the installs on, as it works for both of us.

Nelson, nice batch a work there..... that mural there in the last pic almost looks like a window with an awesome view most impressive. I always enjoy doing something neat above the stove. The customer always starts to get excited at that point

Photolifting? Wasn't aware of this, you mean people taking photos and using them on their websites as their own. Damn my whole website is someone else's work..... jk. You need a watermark on them I know most of us don't use them but copyright is a legal thing and you can take someone to court if it's worth it and to most of us it is just flattery. As long as it's not my competition.....

Yes doesn't seem like we get much work here like we used to, I remember getting excited after finishing a project and couldn't wait to post it here and get reviews from other pros. Now it seems like only a few do it. I post my work everywhere possible you just never know who might find it and give you work, this is social networking at it's best right Plankmaster

Yeh I am going back today to put some sealer over the rotted wood look, something new we started doing......lol You guys need to have some Eye Dr. appointments, don't fight it you'll thank me later I do realize you are not seeing these pics on a big screen but on your little smartphones.

The rotted wood look piece of granite matches the countertop not that great with the limestone but they weren't looking to change it out.

I'm here. As usual I sit in awe of what others have done. There was a time when I considered myself a cracker jack tile setter. I'm still a cracker jack, but the more I see here the more humble I become in the tile setting department.

Theres alot more selection and options and materials now a days John, Means more possibilties of what can be done.
Personally sometimes I wish I could go back to days of slamming down 8x8s and 12x12s....life was so much easier.

Some of my crew's recent work. A custom home in Wailea, Maui. They preset and grouted the herringbone glass tile to 1/8" thick Wedi before cutting and installing.

Pretty slick, Isaac.

How did you attach the Wedi inside the box?

Very good, Isaac. You've got a great crew if they can do something like that.

Nice Isaac.

I've preset on Wedi, but never pre-grouted. Might have to try that sometime...

Here's a shower on windward Oahu, just about ready for tile...

...or so I thought. Now the kids can splash without soaking the whole bathroom. Right.

We prepped the shower with Durock and Hydroban. We just attached the wedi with thinset. Used Custom ProLite. Small panel locked in by the travertine on the side of the niche so didn't feel a need to screw it to the wall.

Dana we pre grouted because some of the glass pieces were going to be so small after cutting we felt being grouted would prevent loosing any pieces on the saw. It worked

I like that tall curb idea, especially for kids with small children. Amazing how much water can end up on the floor outside the shower.

Dennis, it's as simple as clicking on the "post reply" button, then use the attachment icon (looks like a paper clip), to attach the photos from your phone or computer.

Have you read "attachments and images" in the faq?

If you need a more detailed explanation, let me know.

These are from a few weeks ago. I didn't take any before pics, but the shower has to hydroban niches, and the walls were coated with hydroban, and pan done with divot method and hydroban. Floor outside shower is mud also. Picture quality isn't the best. all pics were taken with my phone. Not sure if I can make resolution any better.

Thanks Kevin.
