I’m not concerned with damaging it; more concerned about anything under it. There re no visible fasteners. It’s some sort of stone, or synthetic stone.

I managed to get the threshold out. It was put in with thinset not liquid nails.

For the replacement, should I run DITRA under it? There wasn’t much play, so I am concerned the replacement won’t fit without cutting the door jamb.

I have my DITRA laid and tiles cut, so I’m about ready to lay except one small wrinkle.

I purchased a synthetic marble threshold (the wife liked) to replace the old one I took out. However, the new one doesn’t appear to be level, and the door won’t clear on both sides. Rather than retuning to the store and playing the roulette game - do I need a threshold? Or can I use tile, then caulk against outside toe kick?

It is a cosmetic choice. What does the missus prefer?
