I guess we are in full blown summer then. Upper 90's and low 100's with high humidity. And, I think I may have to call the HVAC guy Monday. The AC doesn't quite seem like it's keeping up.

Boy, those snow pictures sure look good.

Marge, spray the scorpions with cod liver oil and let your cats take care of them

Scorpians????? Get some pet merrkats!

Storming here this afternoon. Pretty normal SOWEGA summer weather. Supposedly some really bad stuff rolling up from the south. Haven't looked at radar yet.

Some damage locally from the storms yesterday, trees down, power outages, siding blown off most of a church facade.

How's the rest of the country doin'? 110 deg. @ 10% humidity here in Oak View, CA. A scorcher by most standards, 'cept for maybe the poor fellas serving in the Middle East. Thankfully the humidity is pretty low - I feel for you'uns back on the right coast and parts inbetwixt where the air is practically dripping.

Getting a bit cooler here. Highs in the mid 80s this week. Mornings are pleasant and afternoons tolerable. It's not fall yet though. I haven't smelled the fall smell yet. Don't ask me what it is. I can't describe it but I know it when the scent is on the air.

Downtown Los Angeles hit an all time record high today at 113˚F. San Diego was much cooler at 102˚F.

Well, so far the temps here in Fl. have been manageable for me and Mikey. Yesterday in the high 80's, last nite low 70's. Actually, last nite was so comfortable, I turned off the A/C.

I know I got here when the worst of the summer heat is over. When summer comes back, I will be able to slowly experience the heat of summer. In the meantime no more winters like the one I had last year. When I said I had it, I meant it.

Just came back from a three day work trip to Reno and I think I'm in love. 60 degrees at night, topped out at 90 during the day and the mountains actually have grass and trees on them instead of the Vegas "Rock on fire" mountains.

I sure would like to have a little snow in the winter...I miss the snow!
