Finally a nice day. 66 this afternoon with abundant sunshine. Won't last. Several inches of heavy rain expected tomorrow.

The South was beautiful today and to top it off, I sold enough work to fill February. Was like early spring. Yes, big rains coming this weekend. Oh well.

I hit a red light at the freeway offramp today on my way home from work. I saw rain going sideways, flowing up over the car in front of me like smoke over a vehicle in a wind tunnel. We're expecting 4-6 feet of snow in the mountains and inches of rain here in the lowlands. Not good for the fire burnt areas. I am curious to head up to the santa margarita river and take a peek while all this water is coming down. It is listed as a category 5 white water rapid, one of a few in all of california bout 5 miles from my house. Albeit seasonal, I've hiked that river and seen reeds stuck in tree branches 6 feet over my head and wondered what it must look like when its full.

I had to switch to flame retardent fiberglass. The asbestos gave me a rash.
