acrylpro question

Does anyone out there know if it is safe to use acrylpro on top of a well bonded lynoleum floor? the lynoleum is on top of asbestos tile, which is on top a solid concrete slab.

NO, everything must be removed down to the slab, then inspected and thinset used if in good condition.

Mastic is for walls only in dry areas. I don't care what it says on the pail.

In addition to what Alex said, don't use mastic on tiles larger than about 6" x 6 or on natural stone tiles.

acryl pro

If you just gotta use mastic, use Omni grip. it has less water and will dry faster BUT.... I would only use mastic on a floor if it was my last job I planned on ever doing... cause it probably would be.

Don't really know specifically about the mastic, but if I were using thinset I'd likely TSP or degrease ect. then try a test spot to see how it stuck.

Where are you getting this info?, NO wire needed, what is it you want to do, you don't use mastic with wire, is this a joke or what?

Rich --

I think Reed said that the walls are plaster over metal lath (chicken wire.)

But I'm not sure.

Reed --

You're not thinking about attaching chicken wire to the wall and covering it with mastic, are you?
