Wes working with the TLS

Finally got the rest of the tile in for this shower. I didn't order anything here and I was short in EVERY area...4 week delay.

I have to go back and seal the floor, and turn my drain... I hate when i make those silly mistakes

Tiled my first kerdi board shower today. After the tiles went on, these pony walls are as solid as they come. Superior to wood framing as far as structural, and much much faster.

cool paul

that's the first one I've seen here --

I am still skeptical about the strength --

I suppose once the door is in it's fine but it makes me nervous.

Is there any data from schluter to support the flex of schluter walls verses
properly done framing??

just askin'

but I digress . . . cool paul

These walls are only a foot deep. There will be no door, so that's why the curb is a little on the high side. The whole floor outside the shower was waterproofed as well, including up the walls 4"

The board cut clean and square using common wood cutting tools. PL Premuim worked well adhering it to the drywall. The seams were all kerdi-banded, as well as the foam edge.

Since space is at a premium in this bath, the HO wanted the walls as thin as possible. K-board allowed me to get it down to 2 inches.

11 1/2" wide by 20" high. I cut the shelf blanks last week and cut the curves on the diamond band saw at home this morning, finished sanding and polishing them on site.
