John,
We asked the Schluter reps directly about using Kerdi-board under radiant heat and they said, "Not at this time". I don't know why, but I'll wait for a confirmation before I go that route.

Went to the seminar today.
Nice guy explains lots of stuff. Now lets build a tubdeck mockup and answer questions.
New Schluter guy from S.Florida(?) pipes in how he wants to build a Kerdiboard boat. "Heck you can make lots of stuff from Schluter products. Why my wife even said she wants to make a pair of waterproof shorts. I said honey why would I need waterproof shorts?, he mistakenly said.
Then someone in the crowd chimed in (guess who this was)
"You know when you get older you might really want a pair of waterproof shorts. You could even make your own Kerdi colostomy bag.
Yep; good times here in Jax.
Now order the stuff Paul!

3/4" for enclosed shower ceilings? 1/2 & 5/8 for walls.

Hank,
The 3/4" board is going to take the weight better than the thinner boards. It's not the same as building with cement boards so there's bound to be a few "huh?" moments.

Brian, That should have gone on the seminar thread, but it doesn't matter.

I'm going in the morning.
