Styrofoam Tile?
Hello all,
New to the forum. About a month ago I was in Florida on vacation and while waiting for the elevator I was inspecting the wall tiles. I have remodeled basically my entire house and for some reason now I have to take a closer look at all handy work :-) Anyways, I was looking at this tile that appeared to be travertine, but when I touched it I could tell it wasn't stone. Sure enough, I was able to score it slightly with my fingernail. It looked like they used a chemical spray(acetone?) to give it the porous appearance of travertine. I was wondering if anybody has seen or heard of this, and if so where it can be purchased. Seems like it has to be pretty cheap compared to stone and installation would be a breeze because you can cut it with a razor. I wouldn't use it on the floor for obvious reasons, but it would work great like the hotel was using it on a wall.
Thanks!!
