Deck Mud Calculator with offset drain

hello, I use that calculator all the time but im doing a shower that just ramps down to a wide drain on the far wall. Is there a mud calculator for that?? Thanks

That's just basic math, Matt. If your mud slopes to zero at the drain, you just multiply length times width times height of your mud at the thick end and divide by two to get the required volume.

If your mud is thicker than zero at the drain, calculate the volume using the height at the drain and then calculate the sloped portion as above and add the two volumes.

Err on the high side, mud's cheap, eh?

always buy more than you think you need. i calculated 5 bags of mud mix. thought i would buy another just in case - only $6. glad i did - needed 3/4 of the sixth bag. my math must have been off somewhere.....

Deck mud ratio

I read in johns article the proper ratio is 5parts sand to 1 part Portland,5:1, What is the ratio when using sand topping mix instead of Portland. Thankyou for you help.

Check the "Deck Mud Calculator" in the Liberry. There's info on both ratios.

Thankyou that's awesome. I have a long narrow drain at one end of the shower. Does the have a calculator for that? Thanks for your help sir
