Schluter triangular shower seat install

Need help on how to install a Kerdi triangular shower seat (KBSB410TA) on a sloped floor tray and a vertical drain on opposite end of walk in shower. I am using Kerdi board on walls and need advice on how to best install seat on a sloped plane. How do I compensate for the sloped floor? Schluter instructions show the wall area and flloor with troweled thinset before seat installation.Should I make up the front with extra thinset or should something be used to fill the floor gap? Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

You want the bench to have a sloped top, don't forget.

Your bench shouldn't be on the tray. The tray should be cut around it.

If that makes the bench too short, you could build it up with plywood or 2x's.

Putting triangular bench base on subfloor is the answer. Thanks. That brings me to molded corners ( Schluter products).... anyone know if Schluter corners are available for the configuration of a corner triangular bench?

I know once upon a time they had some pre-made 135 degree corners, Andy, but I've not seen mention of them lately. Nor have I done any searching.

I'd recommend you fold your own corners the old fashioned way to ensure that they fit your angles precisely. Put a dab of KerdiFix in the corner of the folds if it makes you feel safer.

My opinion; worth price charged.

They have some on Amazon.

Make sure you're sitting down before looking at the price. They're quite proud of them.

Actually I got to wondering, why would you need corners on a Kerdi corner bench against Kerdi board?

You would if the bench were foam. No foam is waterproof. At the very least you want the seam between the newer kerdi board benches and the kerdi board on the wall.

The 135 degree corners come with the bench.
