Only Custom could screw up white grout. They have some great stuff but for 25 plus years I have seen nothing but discoloration problems from their Polyblend grouts. Who knows. Maybe a little time might help uniformity a bit.

LOL. Yeah, I’m disappointed given I called their service line and he basically said screw the directions go by feel. And I asked about colour variation risks. It’s not a huge variation, but it is noticeable to me. I read the grout how-to here and watched a ton of videos first, as this was the part I dreaded most. Not sure what else I could have done.

Not much you can do cep use another brand grout. I'm looking forward to the pics. Hopefully the shading didn't affect your spot on tile job too much. As far as Custom's tech dept, they are about as helpful as the lumber guy in the shade dept at HD. I have called 2 or 3 times asking the difference between ProLite and MegaLite. Got different answers and one guy said ProLite comes in a 40 lb bag and MegaLite comes in a 50. The conversation didn't go much further.
