That's it,

Loralee, pack up the car. We're headed to sunny Nebraska.

44 farenheit in South Florida this a.m.

Ya LL, bring all your red clothes, that is all they wear out there.

It must be hunting season all year long or something.

Winter, we don't need no steenkin' winter....

Record highs predicted for today!!! 'Course, that's only 44 degrees, but that should still melt off the last couple of inches we have left. Sure glad I'm not open in the winter- I'd be losing $ hand over fist without skiers and snowmobilers. There's lots of construction workers that are smiling, though.

I'm lovin' it- it can't last, though...

Yep, Moose Racing may be different this year. Might have to run 'em thru the empty parking lots instead... It does look as if the Mackinaw Mush (dogsled races) may be cancelled, along with WinterFest. Darn.

Another coupla weeks of this, and I'll have a house with a roof! (insert chorus of trumpets here...)

Astonishingly enough, the roofing "crew" does not drink beer. However, the "lunch lady" and "official gopher" does...

Hey, youins bozos! This here is a weather thread, not a beer and roofing thread! Geeeez, can't y'all keep on subject just once in a while?

Anyway, NPR reported on our various weathers today, pointing out that places like where Bud lives were in the 60s and 70s, whilst where ol' Chip-don't-forget-the-H lives it was a record low of 27 or some such.

So maybe I gotta appologize to Bud about him smokin' stuff?

Naaaaaa.

Bud,

54 and you think that's tee shirt weather? Get a grip, man. I don't even go to work when it's that cold.
