Well...about 7.30 and nothing. Guess we'll see what happens later. Got a generator for the fridge, TV and fans and lights. More details in the AM.....

Mmmmm, looks like Ms. Laura is upset about something.
Talking heads saying this is a seriously bad actor. Not wishing to live near the coast tonight for sure. Not even forecast to get any rain in my area (San Antonio, TX), but I see forecasts for serious rain as far north as upper Arkansas. Strange little storm, this.

Lookin like you'll be on the west side Laz and well enough away from the center so I wouldn't be too concerned about wind so much. Losing electric and for how long can be a problem. Now as for the coast and head on, I wouldn't want to be there.

It's downgraded to a tropical storm now. I think I saw a few raindrops out there earlier today.

Looks like more rain headed to southeast Texas. Tropical storm Beta is bringing it pretty quick.

It sure would be nice if the rain sort of evened out across the country rather than some areas getting really dumped on! Most of New England has been in some level of drought conditions all summer into this fall. We might get some from Delta, but it looks like it may track south of us for the most part.
Personally, even at my age, I don't fancy living down south where the heat, humidity, and propensity of hurricanes is so much higher. Most of the time, by the time a hurricane gets to NE, it's mostly petered out - breezy, and a lot of the moisture has been lost. Things can still flood, but it's not as often or as severe. Last report I saw is that some parts of Delta, got like 17" of rain...and, a lot of that area is relatively flat, so it just has nowhere to flow to easily.

So you enjoy sitting through New Hampshire winters freezing your butt off, Jim?
And no, I don't like the hot summers here.
