We are having the wettest year in a long, long time here in Upstate South Carolina. I think I saw last night that July had only 2 days above 90, but Clemson had close to 20 inches of rain in July alone. On July 13 we had ~9 inches of rain in less than four hours and then on the 21st we had another six. In between we had some rain almost every day. Lots of July 4th celebrations were canceled or delayed. We had lots of water in the crawl space, but no apparent damage. Quite a few houses in the Clemson-Pendleton area had major flooding in basements and some had foundations washed out from all the runoff water. We've had a week of almost dry weather in Clemson, but Greenville and Spartanburg have had some serious storms with wind and rain. Lots of roads have had washouts and a section of the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed because the roadway is slipping down the mountain side.

You're fixin' to get three to five feet of snow tonight, Mike?

Or you just trying to make us believe times are really tough up there?
