We had 2" in about 15 minutes late this afternoon. A huge branch brushed the redhead's Maxima as it fell; really got her attention.

Wish I was this guy right now - it's 105 deg. here and not a breath of air stirring.

Doesn't even get that hot here in Houston. You need to relocate.

I complain about Amsterdam being cold and windy and rainy. So today I fly to LA and it is 95. Karma getting me.

Mark, up near Santa Barbara it was 105. You got lucky.

Mid-September, and it's finally starting to cool off around here. Temps this week are predicted to be in the high eighties.

I reckon you're in North Texas?

Down here it got to about 67, which is wonderful. Had to haul out my winter wind breaker.

Every computer model has Sandy going right over us up in Rochester.
Actually wish it was dumping snow!

What's good about it is that it's going to hit D.C. first -- except for innocent people.

Wait, are there any innocent people in D.D.?

Sandy is looking like a scary wench. Hope all of you in the East take it serious and prepare for the worst. Definitely smart to be as safe as possible. Worrying about y'all.

The weather guys have renamed Sandy into Frankenstorm Supposed to hit an Arctic Blast. Talking one of those once in a lifetime storms, Nor'easter meets Hurricane. Expecting a billion in damages, Irene was about 200 mil. Already got gas for the generator and some water. Going to get diesel for the the tractor and fill up the Honda.
