We got an inch or so of ice, followed by snow. Supposed to be a foot of it by the end of the day, followed by a low of -4 in the morning with 30mph winds.

Not really looking forward to my eight hours tonight.

Bitter cold weather here, I actually didn't even make the drive back over to Denver today because of the weather. I figure I shouldn't drive left footed over Vail pass with horrible road conditions.

We're expecting a couple days of in the teens at night. Going out to get the heating ready for the nose bibs and make sure the neighbor pools are turned on all night.

Lookin' at mid teens for a couple nights here, too, CT. But we don't worry none about no "nose bibs" hereabouts, we alla time bring our noses inna house with us.

Worst part here's been the wind. Well below freezing much of the day and twenty or more knots of wind. Just moderately miserable if you axe moi.

In the Dallas area rain started last night, then freezing rain during a T-storm and then a couple inches of snow on top of that. Going down to 10 tonight, 6 tomar night.

Ah, yes, the DFW area that I recall so fondly.

OK, OK, I remember it well, I lied about the fondly part.

I'd heard about the bad weather back in the Midwest and East, but it didn't hit home just how serious these storms are until I saw ABC News tonight. I feel for alla you "weathering" through the mountains of snow and ice. Here's some sunshine for you, we got plenty enough to go around.

With the weight of the ice in the trees you can hear the branches cracking and falling to the ground .. My son and his wife and granddogs are going to try to make it over to spend the night , power line is laying in the back yard sparking . I hope we will have power when they get here . so far lost 1/2 of what I thought was a big healthy tree . Some street is already running on generators

Good luck everyone
