I dunno about that, Shaughnn. I remember when we built DFW airport some years ago, there was a lotta talk about how much de-icing/snow removal equipment should be inna budget.
I'm rememberin' there was basically none. When it snows, you gotta wait 'till Momma Nature decides to take it away. Was plenty pissin' and moanin' first few time the whole airport was shut down as I recall. Third or forth busiest airport onna planet and a couple inches of snow could make it a big airplane parking lot with a lotta overhead short-term parking, too.
Think they can de-ice now, but I bet they still hafta borry snow plows from the cities of Dallas and Ft. Worth if it snows hard.
What do you know of that, Davy?

MArge,
That would be up to the Port of Seattle, I'm thinking. IF the trucks get through, then you can land safely. If not, then you should just make sure you're in a Boeing? They will summon the angels of heaven themselves to prevent a crash landing in their own parking lot.

Shaughnn, we know peeps there. Good idea.
We're playing it by ear and will decide Tuesday whether to bail. It would be my first Christmas with family in over 15 years, but if Mother Nature decides otherwise, we'll just have to accept it. If so, we're off to the Pacific Coast for a few days. We really need some mellow time.

We just heard from Gunner's folks and all Alaska flights have been canceled from Sea-Tac. They said Alaska told them they could not get out until the 26th (they have 1st class tix and were told no seats in any class).
We are scheduled to leave for Sea-Tac on the 24th and that isn't so bad...except we have Gunner. And Gunner's folks are delayed.
Wiley, Gunner and I may be greeting Santa together on the 24th.

Nope, started snowing again last night, still snowing now. About 2 ft on the ground. Last time we had 1" of snow on christmas was 1933.
