We hit 20 last night. Just too cold for this time of year.

Winter weather here is so boring. Beautiful all the time. 60s and 70s. Cool at night. Lots of sunshine.

Now let me tell ya when it's not boring. Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, but those things only happen once in a while.

After such a delightful, comfortable fall, the temperature here have turned nasty. Now we are below the norm. YUCH
To add insult to injury, we had snowshowers yesterday. Disgusting.

The kids have a "snow day" here. A look outside my window says it's unjustified.

Best I can do on short notice, Brian. It's still kind of dark here.

I think it's called CYA. You should live in SC. We have a countywide school district. I've seen our daughters have a week of snow days with not a flake on the ground just because the roads in the "mountains" are iced up and have some snow on them. Of course no one knows how to drive on snow/ice except for a few of us transplants.

Well, I just removed about 8" of snow from the driveway; perhaps it was a good call after all. It was still snowing when they called school off. Then again, this is Michigan dammit! Aren't we supposed to be able to cope with a little snow?
