112 today...again. Forecast is for 117 next week. Going to use the mailbox as an oven to bake bread.

It's raining real hard here in Seattle right now.
I had planned to go sailing with the Bridges today but we were rained out.
John forgot his So'wester in Houston.

We're actually having a heat wave a few miles south - got up to 68 yesterday.

You're right Kathleen...that's better than centigrade.
Don, quit gloating.
I'd need a sweatshirt there. Thank goodness I'm not there since I DON'T have a certain promised sweatshirt......

Had to ride to work in a boat today. Boomer did not want to go outside this morning. Had to pick him up (all 68 lbs of him) and carry him out to the yard.
Saw a fire engine towing a jet ski the other day. Hadn't seen that since the South Texas Flood of 1998.
Cheers.

Dryer than a desert here.... been that-a-way since April.
The moles here-a-bouts are sending out recruits to ring bells and beg water.
Flowers! What's that?
Ding dong.
Answer the door dear.

Heading North this morning. It broke a record in the mountains yesterday at the cabin...104. The high pressure system is supposed to head out today. Hallelujah!
My thoughts are with all of you in Texas...that flooding is some serious stuff.

A beautiful day here on the East End of L.I. low 80's and low humidity with a beautiful breeze. Right now we're under a severe T-Storm warning.

The lakes have been low for several years, they are now all full, some are running over the spillways. Many are 10-12 ft over normal. Still was raining this morning, clouds broke up this afternoon, seen a round bright thing in the sky, not sure what that's all about.
