Update...Finally spoke with Aunt Jean and Uncle Stump (No, not his given named but what we've always called him.) They are fine but no power last night. May be back up today.

Just to give you an idea, they live in a retirement community on the grounds of the Sumter Regional Medical Center. That's the one the media keeps showing. Can't believe there weren't more injuries with this one. Got an aerial look at the hospital today. So much worse than described.

Much more property damage than you are hearing about. Many homes damaged, some total losses in neighboring counties. Well, we've been here and done that before. We'll all take care of each other.

Here's a link with some pics. These were taken by somebody at a local radio station. The brick building is (was) the hospital. The white structure was a grocery store shopping center. Point of reference, the damage you see occurred about 20 miles north of my house. Lee Co. is right in the middle of most of these counties. Guess we were just lucky this time.

March Beach Weather

Just a couple of weather related photos from the beach this past weekend. Daytime temps ranged from sunny and 70 to cloudy, windy and 50's.

Jim got it right, Atlantic Ocean. We spent a week at Litchfield Beach. It's between Georgetown and Myrtle Beach, SC. Great time to be there. Not many people, good temperature for walking on the beach much of the time, and very relaxing. Just what we needed.

Spring was here for 6 days of 80 degrees...typical PHX. Summer is officially here...90 flippin' degrees and our first two inside scorpions officially noted. (that's PC for annihilated) The solar cover goes on the pool tomorrow. Not that Shaka hasn't been swimming in 47 degree water this winter.....

I thought yesterday was good.........

It reached 54 degrees, so I had the A/C inna truck running. Was lovin' that.

But today, it got up to 69 degrees and continued to be sunny, sunny, sunny........feels spectacular. Can't wait for summer.

The usual strange stuff here, sweaters one day, shorts the next. Pollen is everywhere. Gonna be a bad year for me with that.

Beautiful weather the past few days, lows - 40's & 50's, highs 70-80. I know what you mean about the pollen. Looks like it will be a rough spring. I've heard more people sneezing/coughing, etc the past week that I did all winter. I hope we get the rain they are predicting for Thursday & Friday.
