What a mess out here in the West! Lots of snow falling and bitter temps in the 20's!

Check out the news for more.

I always crack up watching the big fanfare smowfall brings to Washington state. "WINTER BLAST" "SNOWSTORM FROM HELL TO VISIT US TONIGHT!" and such! SHEESH...when I lived back East it was just a matter of fact for the winter. Guess the Pacific Northwest hasn't had to deal with it much so it's a big deal!

Folks don't know how to drive in the stuff neither...so I stay off the roads too! The thought of being rear-ended in the snow doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy! I'm talkin' CARS here...none of that kinky stuff!

The parking lot at school was about an inch of solid ice. I was leaving yesterday and two young students just walked in front of my car as if it were a balmy summer day. I coulda killed them! Literally and figuratively! Some folks got NO BRAINS!

Anypoo...prolly gonna study and bake an apple tart today while I watch the 3-14 inches fall. Then tonight we're expecting RAIN! Keep posted for flooding next! (what else is new??)

All this talk about snow...Linda, I wish I were up there right now.
I'm from Connecticut and haven't seen it snow for years. I'd like
it to snow for a day or so and then go away. Have everything I
need in the house and the fire place going and the snow coming down. Oh yes, and remain in my robe (on the couch in front of
the fire, with a book).

Right now we are getting the cold weather without the snow.

Linda, I heard they closed I-5 from 140-178? I know the road and it must have been a skating rink out there.

Let's hope it's there next week when I'm in Seattle. Haven't been skating in a while

Flatfloor,

She didn't say it's snowing here. Re-read. It never snows here.

Linda,

I can't think of the name of the hill to the northeast of Queen Anne, across the canal, the one between Ballard and Green Lake. That used to be my favorit sledding hill. Never tried Queen Anne.
