I am thinking the qualifier here would be "esthetically pleasing", as in: "There are no rules regarding lay-out, as long as the end result is esthetically pleasing"
That shower urges the observer to honestly wonder if the base construction methods were as sloppy as the final appearance would suggest.
But this is just my take on it.

No its not a slab, there is a crawlspace below..
There is no law about wrapping corners but damn man, at least attempt to make it look nice

yea, that corner definitely breaks the 'hurts my eyes' barrier.... and that makes my brain hurt. shows a certain...... mastery of unorthodox installation techniques.
