Looks like a lot of other Florida floors I see. 100's of them, actually, a few thousand this year alone when you count 4 seperate development projects.

Uhhhhh, it is only the 18th of January! That right there is intense.

The part that amazes me about this is that it stayed down for 10 years! One would think it wouldn't last a year or two.

The locally produced thinset here comes in red bags marked "wall mix" and blue bags marked "floor mix" I was told by the manufacturer that the otherwise identical bags are different colors because most of the installers can't read 'wall', 'floor', or the instructions. Its less than $4 a bag.

is that's the Easy Float Wall & Floor mud from Master Tile ?
it's for shower pans. I don't think I have ever seen too many installers buying the wall mud since they never really need it.
if this is the stuff they use for thinset there they have real problems.

Hold on I am trying to find a pic. I see tons of this crap flying out the door. Don't want to type in a name but a pic will work. Dang it their web site doesn't have a pic.
Luckily you guys aren't in Tex, rite?
maybe that will work, or should I take out the comma?

This is an accident waiting to happen, not to mention being horribly out of level.

I'm ain't afraid to name drop... Like most of the tile work in TX, the wonderful Tex Rite products produced here suck too. Their thinset is the only stuff that's given me raspberries on my fingers.
Their grout sucks too. No matter how much you mix, there's pigment streaks. It's nice and cheap though, so they move plenty of that junk...
