Hey Jon,
Not much to see for the patch, just structural. You could stand on one corner of the piece and it would flex due to slab movement below and broken bond. It's kinda like the front of the building is settling at a different rate than the core.

The granite is flamed, and the whole building has features here and there of it.

Chestnut Brown Limestone

Finished the LR with the 18" x 18" honed limestone.

(or 17 15/16" x 18 1/16" depending on which tile you grab)

Because of inconsistencies in size we had to go with 1/8" grout joints.

Beautiful material, but low quality fabrication. Lots of chipped corners with poorly matched fill, scratches right out of the box.

Supposed to be honed but looks more like polished.

Let me quit whining, the view was nice, the client is happy and the grout worked great.

Used Chestnut Brown Permacolor to grout the Chestnut Brown Limestone. It was perfect match. Who would have thought?

Multilingual stay off tile sign.

2012 has been the year for my inner "artist". I seem to be getting jobs that are borderline art works and I am enjoying expanding my field.
This job was early this summer. We had to wait for the weather to get nice. Well, It did get nice. Too nice. I got a bad sunburn, In Seattle? yep 5 days at about 85 degrees. It made this a challenge, but had a blast cause of the job location. Nice views

Yep 4Runner, keyrect. Before my 4Runner I had a full size bronco so I got used to working out of that and never really wanted a truck. The bronco died and I decided to try the toyota. 150k miles. Use the trailer for demo, 4X8' perfect as well for drywall and plywood, my Dad made about 8 trailers and I kept this one. GPS with rear view camera, ideal for trailers.

No lifting for him though so I am having my neighbor help, first time ever I have brought someone to a job. Putting new double bowl sink in today as well for customer, sinks are square kinda cool. Grout you say, yes maybe next Wednesday or more like next Friday, and then some cerveza afterwards This one is gonna be hybrid waterproofing and polystyrene, kerdi board and finpan pro panels.4X8 panels on the sides and 3X5's on the back wall

Isaac, nice floor nothing like inconsistent tile size looks like you worked it out though.

Great work as usual guys.

Pete, getting those stones to look 'even' is truly an art.

Good work everyone!

Speaking of inconsistent tile sizes...this top/splash is a Villerory & Boch product. Always tough to set a jig for cutting tiles like this.

Veneer, Oh

Rain Delay, currently grouting veneer siding.

FINALLY non traditional in its layout (obviously), but concrete veneer is not a traditional product.

Love it or Hate it? Give me your comments.

Thanks

(img from earlier progress, will post completed job when the rain lets up.)
