Tamara, looks good. That tile looks like a Turkey travertine, which I like much more than the regular travertine. Probably because there is sooooooooooooooo much of the regular here and not much of the Turkey travertine, yet. Any who, back to the regular postings.

Tiled Tub
Here is a tub we are close to finishing. We need to have the plumber and electrician finish so we can clean and seal it. So it still needs a little cleaning. We built the entire tub with bricks and mortar. We used mud on the walls also.
The pebbles on the floor were on sheets but had to be disassembled and set one by one because of the radius corners. We installed Nobleseal as primary waterproofing up the walls ( square ) for insurance. We used Tec Hydraflex for a secondary waterproofing. We installed Nuheat mats in the wet areas outside the showers and tub. We installed the Nuheat cable on the shower floor and inside tub areas. We were concerned because of the size of the tub, that the it would be difficult to maintain the water temperature in filling it up. We don't know how big of hot water heater they are going to use, but felt like this was available option. It is not in service yet so i cannot report the results. We installed slate on the floor with accents, 1" x 1" glass tiles on the walls, and 4" x 4" glass tiles on the ceiling. The owner thought it was too busy with the smaller tiles on the ceiling. It was fun to work on and allow us to be creative. WE worked on the project three and a half weeks. Enjoy. I will send three sets of pictures. John Cox

Very, very cool. 4" glass on the ceiling so it wasn't too busy? Lol.
I like heating the tub, it's always been a concern of mine that all that cement would be a heat sink. Hope no one gets zapped.

Zapped
The system is protected by a GFCI that is built into the switch.

Awesome John. Overflow not required because the shower drain will handle it?

Tub
Kelly, We used Tec Hydraflex and also Ardex 8 + 9. It was on a second floor. We wanted plenty of insurance. We water tested before we installed tile and passed with flying colors. You are also correct as they did not want an overlfow and thought the two drains were sufficient. Besides it takes an hour to fill the tub up. J.C.
