Mark,
Looks awesome. You like those spacers? I use the horseshoe spacers but they vary and are hard to remove.
JC,
Sweet job on the mosaic install.
Orlando,
Around here we wait until the tile is in the house before we like to demo but whatever float your boat.

I use a combination of both wedges and Tavy, especially with this stuff. Many pieces are not all even. I have honestly never tried the horseshoe spacers.

set sized spacers are good with same size tile.
but like you said with small variations a wedge is better.
I also use a combination on slightly varying sized tile

I use Horseshoes spaces, and occasionally, wedges, for fine tuning. The horseshoe spacers shouldn't vary rick,as they come in 1/8 1/16 1/4 sizes etc.

Sometimes ya just don't want even, and need something that's a little more evener than the others.. That's when I use cut up tile boxes.. The corrugation will squeeze down to whatever ya need.. It don't take much to hold up small tiles..

Rich,
I have the Barwalt they bend and throw the joint off. I turn em, I like how gueuze cuts em in half I may try that. I have 1/16th, 1/8th that I use, I usually use em with the blue barwalt wedges to fine tune.

yes i would too.but sometimes i like to prepare myself, you never know whats behind walls..if the tile takes a month ,would you sit around wait, then take up old floor, then prep walls, then float? really.i don't like to waste time,I'm not a pay per hour type of guy.and being self employed, the minute a little piece of tile comes out of that wall, thats the minute i get my 10% down payment and the deal is in the bag..I'm not just an installer im a business man.i don't rely on a store,i rely on my self...no offense to those that work for shops,i wish i could also, but i hate the idea of being underpaid while some stupid sales man offers a client the moon and stars and makes my job much harder than what it is already...i respect those that work for shops,in these bad times its good to have someone to rely on..but its not for all of us..sorry rick.

YEa Orlando,
I have no idea what its like to work hard. I don't find my own work either. I lay on the couch all day and it just pours in the door. That why I eat sleep and breath tile and am constantly on this forum.

This is condo renovation. Nothing too fancy but way better than the original.
The original may deserve to be in another post.
Terrazzo pan, greenboard and mastic walls. But the best part is the greenboard went in first and the pan was put against it. One little bead of silicone was the other thing that gave it a chance. But it is 2010 and think this was built in early 80's.
Working for GC they chose the ceramic corner shelf. Not my first choice. The rest of the tile is Ilva.
Went with a conventional pan, durock walls, hydroban for waterproofing on walls.
My picture uploading is a little weird, didn't mean to make the pan picture so big.
