Nice, clean tile work in that entry, Tim. ( post 3776).
I hope my entry way effort turns out nearly as nice.
PS: I found a nice air register place that would dress that floor up sumpin' fierce.
Real pricy but.... great products.

@ Roger ( TileArt1 ) I've seen that " AZ Tile Skylights " glass in a couple of your projects. Is Arizona Tile the big tile store near you. I know for me it's the place I do the most business with.

Chad, I don't have an Arizona tile store around here - it comes out of Denver but I have an account with the distributor down there and get it at cost so it makes it very cost effective for my customers. Wish I did have a distributor up here - it would save time.
Jon - the 'interlocking' aspect of that band is simply the way the ends fit together. If it happens to be the same width as the thickness of the tile you can fold them back into a niche or around a corner and have alternating ends on the front and side.
In the photo below on the right side I've outlined the spot where two full size pieces meet. I've transferred that outline to the left at the side of the niche so you can see what I mean. Looks good if the tile locks together in the correct aspect. Some does and some doesn't.
