That makes sense. I was starting to think there was nothing you guys couldn't do with a angle grinder with some stone on the end.
Thanks, more tools to buy...

Up until a few months ago I used to do it all with a grinder. But then one lucky day I walked into a reallllly kick a** tool store and spotted those grinding wheels. No more ribbing my crew about who can cut the neatest holes anymore. Now we agrue about how fast we can do them. The grinding stones go from 24 grit to 180.

I found this pic on the net, the stone shown is 4x2. Meaning it is 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Mine are about 2 inches wide and 4 inches long which makes for easier handling in smaller holes. I bought mine at http://www.empiretools.com/ The store is right by me. The place is a tile / stone man's heaven. The guys who work there are a hoot.

We cut all of our holes with the Makita (angle grinder?)To each his own but the Makita is very efficient, affordable, and just less stuff to drag around.I even cut my small pipe holes out cutting into the back of the tile (grid side) @ an angle and chipping out the hole on the front side with my biters caveman/clovis point arrowhead style. Here are multiple tasks going on that are coming to a close.I just morph into mutiple entities and handle bitness...

Can I see a pic of how you are holding the Makita as you cut that nice circle with a diamond blade?
