Yes it's the Marazzi, I was able to snap cut a lot of cuts on the floor( covered with 5/8 baseboard) with my sigma but any finished cuts I had to saw cut. The tile is made in Texas, maybe it's something in the dirt done there that's makes tiles hard to snap. But I think is that the glaze has those little divots.

You got to be kidding me brian if you think a grinder is easier that the saw. We are talking about full length cuts here my friend.

I use the grinder all the time for L cuts when the tile snaps, but not to cut 25 full length pieces when a tile won't snap worth a darn-

Grinder can heat up the tile too and make them break in the wrong places.

Not me... but there are guys out there that are so good and so fast with a dry blade you would be astonished. I have been amazed by the hand skills some have..especially in visiting stone Fab shops in the past year. I have seen guys rough in 3cm ogees with grinders and cut lines so straight and chip free I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

I did a hearth and surround for my inlaws last week and made this "serpintine seam" to hide the seam line...It ended up being one of the most amazing seam I've ever made ( after it was top polished) as close to invisible as I can do.

I'll post some finished pics when I get back to the house soon.

guess you missed what I meant. I would use my grinder if I only had a bar cutter that was breaking it.
he wouldn't have to drive 45 mins to get the saw.
and yes I can cut full length tile with a grinder straight.
I do it for the hard cutting Marazzi tile if I dont have my wetsaw.
but I always have all three on a job anyways.

Nice hand cilpped travertine terrasse, but all the sheets had to be trimmed-

Always a few pieces falling off the sheets-

Fun slices to make on the wetsaw-
