I think your close Janna, I think your Rooster needs to be a little fatter, beef him up a little.

Jenna,
If you decide to toss them, let me know. I collect chickens and they would make a nice compliment to them.
I like them...MAKE MORE!

farm animal sets of mosaics, Christmas is approaching!
Janna,
As for your Roosters I think you did fine, try eBay they say there is a little bit of everything for everyone on there and your chickens, I mean Roosters would do just fine. Yes Roosters at one time were a big kitchen theme for many but don't know if that is still the case...no wait.... actually I recall a friend here in town. She has roosters in her kitchen everywhere! No live ones though. Nothing wrong with experimenting when you get bored, maybe you could open up a whole line of animals, call it your line of farm animals. If that doesn't do well you could try insects. I think with your abilities you could do anything, you just have to find the right market because you have a boatload of talent and it just doesn't look like your getting to use it. You have to find a market(not the farmer's market), so your talents can be utilized
Eagle Eyes Rick,
Good call on what you saw, on the shower floor in the marble shower, good eyes. Didn't think anyone would be able to catch that from the pics. I decided to do something a little different on this shower, on all 4 walls(one is the bench), I sloped the floor to the extreme as you say, which is a good way to describe it. Its only sloped to the extreme about the last 4 inches, this was just something I always wanted to try and with the size of this shower I went ahead and did it. It does look neat I mean the key to a shower floor is that you have the minimum slope, 1/4" per foot from the furtherest point. Can you have too much I will say I have had nothing but compliments on it, the guy doing the wood flooring in the home asked about the floor in the shower and asked if I could do his shower, mainly the floor in the shower! So its a little different but here again didn't think it was noticeable, Rick gonna call you Eagle Eyes! Oh and in my post I said 6 months, was there 6 weeks, no one questioned that though

Thats because I have been beaten into this trade by an old school chooch. I catch everything which sucks because I criticize my own work to the T. But I am booked into Feb. I was taught too much pitch and your joints will start to pinch when you laying the smaller tiles in the showers.

Janna, a roosters foot actually has a joint in it and a spurr coming out the back.. Make them a little longer and angled more forward. Otherwise the body looks good.

I actually was going to make a 6 month comment....lol.
I noticed the shower floor as well- I had to do that on the 50 yr old shower(2) renovation job I did- It was the only cheap way to deal with the old cement pan with locked in drains. I liked how it looked- as did the general and designer on the job. I guess in the right setting- it works. I think as long as its totally uniform so it looks intentional.
Love that 3 million dollar (40ktile) job a few pages back. Very slick! Would have liked to see something other than the checker board look on the lower half of that shower- only cuz it seems a different look than the floors. Not sure what would have been better- maybe just more of a solid color? But hey- I'm stuck on an island so what do I know about current style right now!
I like the first rooster- but not the second. Wayne- your welcome to the second one if you pay the shipping- If I send it in pieces it will fit in a $5.35 flat rate box! Comes with those feet tho! As a setter- you should have no problem sticking it onto backer and throwing broken up tile pieces around it or just epoxy it to the face of a tile and grout around the edges and in the rooster only... he's yours if you want him!!
Farm animals... lol. A black n white cow came to mind when I first read that!
maybe a desd horse?
Actually - I'm going to try a sail fish/ marlin next. Wine bottle/cheese/fruit or fruit basket? Trying to appeal to a wider market.... any suggestions? What do people have you install lately?
Thanks for the feedback!
this was my model...

Just finishing this one up.
Water damage from a leak in the attic. Destroyed their kitchen, all the flooring, master bath, drywall and insulation, re-hang and replace doors, paint and faux finishing, etc. Was just a mess. ALL cabinets were removed by the insurance company and left in a pile in the garage. We had to re-build boxes all new bases, re-create lots of the trim, etc., Every wall had drywall removed up a ft. to allow it to dry out. Master had particle board underlayment for marble so when it got wet...guess what.
If construction has gotten boring for you, do a kitchen where the granite is installed before the cabinets
