Window sill
Used 1/8" Wedi with a 1/2" ripper of Wedi sandwiched underneath all adhered and supported by Wedi sealant.
Cut and mitered it all on the Dewalt saw and made sure the tiles grain pattern flowed through.
Ends up being roughly 1-1/2"X1-1/2" "nosing" that will sit an inch past the window casing.
There's a soaker tub in front of it and they wanted tile for soap bottles etc vs wood that may get damaged.
About 4hrs work roughly. I wasn't in a hurry, being careful

I like it John. Nice tight mitres. Im starting to go back to the non Schlutered look myself for outside corners.

Yes John these types a things are time consuming and it's best to take your time and do it once.
Yes if there is one thing I am really disappointed in with the tile industry is the lack of bullnose tile or the size. I am fine with using profiles when needed but it just takes away from the installation and in many cases looks a little commercial but it works. I know in most or all cases the bullnose tiles are not made in the factory where the tile is made.
In many cases the bullnose provided doesn't even fill the jamb of the niche, we have to pad out the back of the niche avoiding a slither of a tile which no one should be putting in. This is why the overhanging shelf is so important. I don't like a picture frame on a niche either.
Here is one where the bullnose was 4", heaven sent Then an oldy but goody, speaking of mitering. I was early in my tile career no bullnose tiles on this one and knew nothing of profiles and couldn't have used them anyway. 16 outside corners in this bathroom, all field tiles and chair rail mitered. How long you think this took

Yes, I agree with Jon on the trimming out. It's always a toss up if I even want to use a bullnose piece. They just don't fit
I will say this tho, Schluter's Trendline profiles are much better. They blend in with many tile selections, have some nice color choices.
On the second pic there was a closer color match to the gray tile, but the missus chose this one to tie in with the floor color.

Nice work
I'll have to check out the trend line I don't know if it's in my Schluter book, might need a newer version.
I agree the nosings are nicer. Part of me wants to buy an edge machine but it's kinda pointless if I can't match the finish. It won't look right

We all have our opinions and we are all unique for that reason. When it comes to what we like and dislike it is an opinion. If you can get people to pay you for it that way then keep doing it. I respect it. Does alleviate needing bullnose more than 3".
Speaking of opinions obviously I should give more here, give an opinion and bam I get feedback. I should just keep the pics going elsewhere

I seem to have waves of commenting heavy and other times just lurking around, I do keep an eye out for mud posts though.
